Following a multiagency thematic audit into local responses to risk outside the home, the LSCP has published three new 7-minute-briefings to help develop understanding of, and responses to, this key safeguarding theme.

Our briefings cover:

1. Reflecting on local responses to risk outside the home – an overview of areas of strength and development for the safeguarding workforce to reflect on their own practice and how this can be strengthened
2. Recognising and responding to risk outside the home indicators – to help safeguarding practitioners recognise indicators a child might be at risk and the vulnerability factors which increase this risk to support early identification and prevention.
3. Disruption – o help safeguarding practitioners understand the critical importance of disruptive action and how to embed this into safeguarding responses.
