New training: information sharing duty

The introduction of the Information Sharing Duty marks a significant development in safeguarding practice. Information sharing is now a legal duty for safeguarding organisations and practitioners, reinforcing the importance of sharing relevant information at the right time to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This session aims to provide practitioners with an overview of the statutory guidance, explore what has changed, and support them to understand their responsibilities and apply the new requirements within their day-to-day practice.

To support safeguarding practitioners to understand and implement the new duty, the LSCP is delivering a training session on Thursday 26 Nov 2026, 10:00-13:00 at Lambeth Civic Centre.
